We have had many dinners with Han and Floris. My wife and I love to out for dinner and we do that a lot. We have visited many michelline star restaurants in the world. restaurants . I think it was 1-2 moth ago when I asked my wife what do you think is the best restaurnat we have been. Without thinking she said Han and Floris from Food Maniacs or Chefs Bonaire. We Marian and I wish you all the best in the world. And we hoep to see you soon for another perfect dinner.

Food Maniacs was recommended by the local company through whom we rented our vacation home. We were a little apprehensive because we have never used an in-home chef in a situation like this. We wanted to make a very special arrival dinner to celebrate with extended family members who were joining us on vacation. I can say that Food Maniacs exceeded every expectation we had for the evening. We chose the barbecue option, thinking this would be more casual. The experience certainly was casual; we could relax on our first evening as Han took care of everything. But despite the casual experience, the food was extraordinary: multiple course of seafood and meat, along with very tasty side dishes. When I ordered barbecue, I thought everything would just be thrown on a grill, but in fact each dish was vary carefully and appropriately prepared: a light sear for blue marlin, a sous vide and sear for beef tenderloin. And Han was happy to tell us about each dish and side, and how they were prepared, along with wine pairings. I could go on, but I will summarize by saying having an in-home dinner prepared by Food Maniacs has certainly been one of the best dining experiences we have had in our many trips to Bonaire. I offer them my highest recommendation!

This is an excellent experience. While on Bonaire, there are several excellent places to visit for a meal, but because we booked FoodManiacs, we had some of the best food and drink Bonaire has to offer brought right to us at home. Han cooked for us 3 separate nights, (each meal better than the last) purchasing ingredients around the island to create a diverse menu. Our group kept asking how he cooked certain dishes and his learning experiences throughout his travels, which was lots of fun. The last evening he came by without Floris, and instead brought a friend who won a national cocktail competition in Miami a few years ago, who made us that same Bonairian cocktail in addition to several others, all of which were excellent. The wine pairings were good and Floris is delightful, but I especially enjoyed the cocktails on our last day. I absolutely encourage readers to book this group, it is so nice to have these lovely people come to your house, cook an amazing meal, and speak with you. Really a good experience. Hopefully Han will make you his octopus brioche.

When my wife told me someone was going to cook for us for 3 nights of our stay, I thought it was someone who was going to grill some shrimp and clean up. I had no idea I was going to have a multi course, gourmet meal that was impeccable from the first bite to the last. One night WAS actually a grill night, but it was a festival of different meats. All complimented with wine pairings, or cocktails on our grill night. This was as big of a highlight as the diving! It was nice to have a fine dining restaurant meal in the comfort of our house while wearing beach clothes. The fact that we didn’t have to prep or clean anything was awesome. Will definitely do again when we return.
